Okay, here's a list of things that kept me productive
1. Use a Pomodoro timer
Usually I have it at 25 minute work 5 minute, but you can do 50/10 as sometimes there are times when you are super focus. Having a timer with breaks honestly helps you keep focus
2. Set goals
Having goals is the first step of completing something
I would write a list in the morning or the night before of what I want to do for the (next) day. It gives you clear vision on a set target to know what you need to do.
3. Change your mindset from "I have to" to "I get to"
Playing persona 3/4/5 taught me couple things, like doing chores or studying is fun, because you get to do something to upgrade your character attributes. Applying this mindset to real life makes you feel like a video game character completing side quests. I guess you can learn something from games.
4. Complete one task at a time
Sure it's nice to multitask, but if you can complete one task at a time, you can do it quick and efficient. It also helps you keep focused. If the task is too big then break it into smaller blocks.
5. Remove friction
Get rid of your phone from your sight, play white noise, have your materials ready.
6. Track output
Once you've set your goals, track how much work you've done, not how long you have been working for. For example I completed 2000/3000 words today.
7. Be consistent, not all or nothing
I get it, sometimes there are days where you can do an all night-er and finish it in one day. But keeping it consistent is good for the mind
lastly productivity is a system, not a personality
clear priorities and focus produces results even when motivation is low.
